HOUSE RULES

1.       No person(s) under the age of 21 will be seated or standing in the immediate vicinity of the bar when alcoholic beverages are being served. 

 2.       No person(s) under the age of 18 will be allowed to remain on Post property after 8 PM and no person(s) under the age of 14 shall use the pool table.

3.       No person(s) between the ages of 18 and 21 will be allowed to remain on the post property after 10 PM unless they are a member of AMVETS (i.e., AMVET, Ladies Auxiliary, Son’s of AMVETS) and their signed in guests, except at Post family functions as approved by the Commander or Chairman, Board of Trustees.

4.       A member must sign a guest into the Post.  The member signing the individual in will be responsible for their guest.  Should the member leave, the signed in guest must also depart unless signed in by another member.

5.       Offensive language or behavior will not be tolerated and is grounds for expulsion.

6.       No alcoholic beverages will be brought into or removed from the Post (except to and from the Beer Garden, Horseshoe pits, or other designated drinking areas).

7.       The Post is a drug-free establishment and illegal drugs are not authorized and will not be tolerated on Post property.

88.       Only members will be allowed to cash checks with one exception, AMVET Riders belonging to other AMVET posts are authorized to write checks, upon verification that they are a member in good standing with their home Post and of their Post #35 Riders membership status, in compliance with the following rules. The amount will be at the discretion of the staff on duty not to exceed $50.00 over purchases per day. A fee of $30.00 will be assessed for each returned check.  Upon notification that a check has bounced, the member has until close of business the following day to make good, in cash, plus the $30.00 fee.               During this time they can still make purchases in cash however; if the check plus fee is not paid by this time then service will be refused until such time as it is paid.  Once paid the following suspension of check-writing privileges will begin: first offense will result in a 6-month suspension of check-writing privileges; second offense is a one year suspension of privileges; third offense will result in a permanent loss of check writing privileges.

9.          No one is allowed behind the bar or in the office (except employees and Post Officers) unless escorted or working.

10.       The bartender has the right to refuse service to anyone.

11.       The Post is designated as a smoking establishment.

12.    No pets are allowed in the Post, except for official working animals which must be verified by legal documentation.

13.       Members will present their membership card when requested by the staff on duty.

14.       Proper attire will be worn at all times.

15.       Any individual that is not an AMVETS member or a member of The Sons of AMVETS, lives within 50 miles of the Post Home and is eligible for membership will only be allowed three visits as a guest.  After the three visits the individual must apply for membership before he/she will be allowed to return to the Post Home. This rule does not apply to individuals that are eligible to join the Ladies Auxiliary.

16.       The Bartender on duty and Post Officers will enforce these House Rules.

17.       These Rules supersede all previous House Rules.
